Lara's Story
I am having a fishing rod in my hand and despite the car sounds from a nearby bridge, there is a calmness that settles inside me. This is only my second time fishing but already I get a taste of the feelings described to me so many times by fishers: the serenity and peacefulness of being by the water with a hint of anticipation, waiting for the fish to bite. I immediately feel myself ‘being in the moment’, a meditative state that often eludes me during yoga practice. I am dreaming of feeding the fish with my fishing rod.
